New menu, more photos and Panoramio integration

From this week we are going to tell you in more detail the changes we are making on TouristEye, so, you can keep up on how we improve the web and mobile apps.

The major change today is the new top menu of the web totally focused on the two main distinguishing features of TouristEye: your trips and your passport. We will focus our work on the Trip Planner remains the best trip planner for web and mobile apps, and that you can share your travel passport with your acquaintances.

We have also put a little summary of your trip so that it you have more easy comfortable to invite your fellow travelers, ask for suggestions and export the trip.

In the coming weeks we will improve the photo galleries to display many more photos and you can see them in a more visual way if a site can be worthwhile or not. To begin, we now show more photos in the city modal information. And we have integrated with Panoramio, because we know that many of you are using it and there are thousands of good pictures that you can serve. Now when you add a new city/place you can choose photos from Panoramio, in addition to Flickr.

Internally, we have developed some private tools to detect and merge in a faster way duplicate destinations and places, to move locations when they are in a incorrect area and to order all the places tags  to be useful in coming weeks. Much work that is not seen, but it shows in the quality of the information ;)
