Last week we proposed several destinations to spend Christmas around the world, among which we included such different places as Rio de Janeiro, Bethlehem or London. Tomorrow New Year’s Eve will take place, one of the most celebrated holidays in the world, regardless of nationality and religion of the people.
If you you think that 2012 will depend on how you will complete the 2011, nothing better to do it in a spectacular location, surrounded by joy and happiness, either with those who we love, or traveling the world, New Year is a perfect time to travel, as cities become more alive than usual with a great festive atmosphere. These are some of the best cities in the world to spend New Year’s Eve.
1. Tokyo
If you want to celebrate the new year before anyone else, your city is Tokyo, as the celebration begins on December 29 and can be extended until 4 January. Do not forget to eat Toshikoshi Soba noodles that symbolize a long and healthy life.
2. Barcelona
Celebrate the New Year in a true Spanish style, taking the 12 grapes at 12 pm, as tradition dictates. On this night, there are performances around the city that stretch into the night.
